Chipotle Chicken Karaage Burger

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams boneless chicken thigh meat

  • 1tbsp grated ginger

  • 1 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • Pinch white pepper

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 4 egg whites

  • 500 grams potato starch or corn flour

  • 4 Brioche burger buns

  • ΒΌ iceberg lettuce shredded

  • 2 tomato slices

  • Small red onion thinly sliced

  • Shredded mozzarella

  • Canola oil for deep frying

  • The most important ingredient is the Gold Gourmet Foods Chipotle Mayonnaise!

Throw it together like this;

  1. Mix ginger, soy, sugar, pepper & sesame oil in a bowl to form a marinade.  Place chicken in the bowl, coat with marinade and cover.   Place in the fridge to marinate for 8 hours or even overnight.

  2. Using a heavy based pot, turn on grill and fill pot with oil ready to fry chicken.

  3. Lightly beat eggs with a fork.  Remove chicken from marinade and coat in egg then roll in the starch or flour and gently place into oil. 

  4. Cook chicken in batches of 2 or 3 and allow to drain on paper towel after frying.

  5. Cut rolls and place under the grill with generous amounts of cheese until melted and toasted.

  6. Dress bottom of rolls with Gold Gourmet Foods Chipotle Mayonnaise stack lettuce, tomato, onion & chicken on top before drizzling with more Gold Gourmet Foods Chipotle Mayonnaise and adding the top of the bun.

  7. Devour and enjoy.
