Steak, Eggs & Bearnaise Sauce Sanga

Grab these Ingredients 

  • 4 thick sliced steak strips, placed on a plate and left out at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  • 1 bottle of Gold Gourmet Foods 500ml Bearnaise Sauce

  • Ground black pepper

  • Sea Salt

  • Olive oil

  • 2 Tablespoons of white wine vinegar

  • 1 Large saucepan, ¾ filled with water on a high stove

  • 4 large eggs

  • 8 slices of fresh, toast thickness bread, lightly buttered.

Here’s how you make your dish:

  1. Heat a non-stick pan or BBQ plate to high until sizzling hot.

  2. Season your steak slices by rubbing equal parts salt & black pepper over the full portion

  3. Place the steaks onto the hot plate and do not interrupt until a brown, crispy crust has formed on the bottom, approximately 3-4 minutes.

  4. Flip the Steak using BBQ tongs and seal and cook until medium rare has been achieved.

  5. Transfer the steak to a chopping board and let rest while you poach your eggs.

  6. Using a wooden spoon, stir the saucepan of boiling water and White wine vinegar slowly until a whirlpool has formed.

  7. Crack an egg and pour carefully into a plastic cup before transferring into the centre of the whirlpool. Poaching for approximately 2 minutes or until the desired texture has been achieved. Remove the egg and place on a clean plate lined with paper towel to remove excess water, repeating the process with the remaining eggs.

  8. Lightly toast your fresh bread, before applying butter and a light sprinkle of salt and pepper before placing on serving plates.

  9. Thinly slice your steaks and apply to the toast.

  10. Top your steak with the Poached Eggs before drizzling with Gold Gourmet Foods Bearnaise Sauce. *Remember to keep some additional sauce for guests to add to taste.

  11. Place the remaining toast slice on top and serve whole or sliced diagonally.

    This dish serves 4 people.
