Make a delicious and easy-to-prepare Basil Pesto Pasta using Gold Gourmet's Basil Pesto with this recipe. Toss pasta in a smooth and flavourful sauce made with high-quality ingredients like olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and Gold Gourmet's signature basil pesto. Ingredients:

  • 450 grams of pasta (penne, fusilli or spaghetti)

  • 170ml of Gold Gourmet Basil Pesto.

  • Grated Parmesan cheese (Optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste (Optional)

  • Roasted sunflower kernels or Pine Nuts (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions.

  2. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, jar of Gold Gourmet Basil Pesto, and some of the reserved pasta water to thin out the sauce to your desired consistency. Toss until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.

  4. If using roasted sunflower kernels, sprinkle them over the pasta and toss to combine.

  5. Season the pasta with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and sunflower kernels if desired.
