Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder with Gold Gourmet Foods Ranch Dressing

Don’t tell your guests, but this slow-roasted lamb shoulder with Gold Gourmet Foods Ranch Dressing, is one of the easiest dishes you will ever prepare.


What you need:

Gravy:

  • 1 tbs plain flour

  • 500ml Chicken Stock (liquid)

  • 2 tbs capers chopped

  • 2 tbs red wine vinegar

  • 1/2 bunch mint chopped

 

How to prepare:

  • Pre-heat oven to 150 degrees Celsius

  • Separate garlic cloves

  • Spread your rosemary and half of the garlic across the base of your roasting tray.

  • Place your Lamb shoulder on top, ensuring it is completely unrolled.

  • Cover the exposed side with the rest of your garlic, rosemary and olive oil.

  • Cover tightly with tin foil and bake for four to five hours. (Check at four hours)

  • Remove from the oven and rest for 15 minutes on a chopping board.

  • Pour the reserve juices from the roasting tray into a glass mixing cup.

 

Who’s going to make the gravy?

  • Place the roasting tray with juices on a hot plate at medium heat.

  • Slowly add flour, chicken stock and bring to the boil, constantly stirring as it thickens.

  • Add red wine vinegar, the capers, mint and two-three large tablespoons of roasting juices.

 

To serve: 

Pull your lamb apart, to expose the perfectly cooked meat. Lightly Drizzle with the Gravy and Gold Gourmet Foods Ranch Dressing across the meat.

Serve with a side dish of the gravy and your 500ml bottle of Gold Gourmet Foods Ranch Dressing.
