Potato Bacon, Garlic, Onion & Blue Cheese Sauce Bake.
Nothing says winter warmer or soul food more than a classic potato bake.
This Gold Gourmet Foods, Blue Cheese Sauce infused dish will warm the cockles of your heart and keep them coming back for more.
What you need:
500ml bottle of Gold Gourmet Foods Blue Cheese Sauce
2 tsp olive oil
4 bacon rashers chopped
1 brown onion chopped
1 garlic clove crushed
1 1/2 kg potatoes peeled thinly sliced
300ml thickened cream
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder
1/2 cup tasty cheese grated
1 pinch cracked pepper *to taste
How to prepare:
Pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius
Lightly grease a large backing dish
Heat your oil in a large frying pan and Sautee your diced bacon pieces, chopped onion and garlic for around 5 minutes or until the onion is soft and your bacon golden brown.
Layer your sliced potatoes and onion/bacon mixture alternatively in the backing dish
In a large bowl, whisk together cream, milk, stock powder and a generous drizzle of Gold Gourmet Foods Blue Cheese Sause and pour over your potatoes.
Cover with aluminium foil and bake for 60 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
Remove the foil and sprinkle with cheese and cook for fifteen minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is starting to brown.
Drizzle a generous portion of Gold Gourmet Foods Blue Cheese Sauce and serve.
