Gold Gourmet Foods Classic Caesar Salad

Get stuck into the Gold Gourmet Foods Classic Caesar Salad

You will need to have these

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 slices of sourdough

  • Olive oil spray

  • Salt & Pepper

  • 6 slices of rindless bacon

  • 4 baby cos lettuces

  • 80 grams shaved parmesan cheese

  • 2 litres water

  • 100ml white vinegar

  • 1 cup of the delicious Gold Gourmet Foods Caesar Dressing

 

It’s this simple to make

1.     Preheat oven to 200 degrees.  Place water and vinegar in saucepan and bring to boil.   Meanwhile, place medium sized non-stick fry pan on low to warm.

2.     Tear sourdough into bite sized pieces, place onto an oven tray, spray with olive oil and season with salt & pepper.   Pop tray into oven for 10-12 minutes turning halfway until they are crisp & golden.  Remove from oven and allow to cool on tray.

3.     Finely dice the bacon and pan fry on a moderate temp for 5-7 minutes or until crisp then transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain.

4.     Turn water down to a gentle simmer and line a plate with paper towel.   Gently crack eggs into simmering water and cook for around 2 minutes for soft poached eggs, cook for longer if you prefer harder yolks.  Carefully remove eggs and let drain on paper towel.

5.     Wash and separate lettuce leaves and arrange on plates.  In a large mixing bowl, combine sourdough croutons, bacon, and shaved parmesan and toss with Gold Gourmet Foods Caesar Dressing until everything is coated in this deliciousness.  Add to the lettuce bowls and top with a poached egg.

6.     Enjoy!
